Autumn Crafts: Sensory Bag

Autumn Crafts: Sensory Bag

The colours of Autumn are the best! There is nothing subtle about the colours of this season. The reds, oranges, and yellows are all bright and bold. ⠀

Emma loves a sensory bottle or bag. We have bottles and jars and bags all over the house for her. She grabs them often and will shake them or press or squeeze them. So obviously we had to make an autumn sensory bag and how stunning are they?

We don’t usually have plastic bags in our house but some of our veggies now come in them now so we have a few Ziploc bags and they are perfect for this activity. ⠀⠀

Cut the leaf out using the template attached. Use a firm cardboard for this activity, normal paper is too soft and will tear. Glue a clear plastic bag to the bag of the cutout. Squirt some different colours of paint into the plastic bag. Seal the bag tightly. We used some plumbers tape over the zip to make sure that the paint doesn’t leak out.

Once you have sealed the bag, let the kids push the paint around until there is paint all over the bag.

The kids had so much fun with this that we made another batch of bags using different colours and then stuck Emmas one on her wall so that she can play with it when she is falling asleep. ⠀⠀⠀
